I grew up in a family where we attended church regularly. I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of 8 in a Sunday night service. I remember a woman praying with me and then coming to my house afterwards to give me some things to read and encourage me in my faith. About the same time my Dad left our family which was a difficult time. During my teenage years I was blessed to be a part of an active youth group and God blessed me with some good male role models. I learned to not just trust Jesus with my salvation, but what it meant to make Jesus Lord of my life, to seek to know Him more and follow Him When I was 18 my sister was killed in a car accident and God was my hope and comfort during that time. I have gone through some rocky times and some joyous times but God has been with me through it all. I have experienced God's love, mercy and forgiveness and I have a desire to share Him with others so they can experience it too.

My Husband and I have led missions teams mostly consisting of teens but some including adults. They have been from 10 days duration to 6 weeks with additional times of training and preparation. We have served in Peru, Ireland, Belgium, Ghana, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and a few in the US in Kentucky, Virginia, and Illinois along the Mississippi. Each of them were through a sending organization. God taught me a lot. We took our family when they were too young to be part of the team, and they became team members as they grew, so I had their care and did a lot of team care as well. On some of the trips we had cooks so I joined the team on the worksite and did some construction. I was in charge of all the meals, planning and preparation on some of the trips. I have taught both Elementary and Middle School. I am presently in charge of organizing Children's Church and I have also led Bible Studies, been the Treasurer at our church, been in charge of Sunday School, worked with the youth,  and much more all by the grace of God.
